Before you book

Check what your NDIS plan can fund

Moving costs are not automatically funded by the NDIS. Removalist support may be funded when it is required because of a participant’s disability support needs and meets the NDIS funding criteria.

Confirm the support with your my NDIS contact, support coordinator or plan manager before committing to the move. How your plan is managed can also affect which providers you can use.

A clearer moving plan

From quote request to moving day

Good preparation helps the participant, support people and moving crew understand the same plan.

  1. 1

    Tell us about the move

Share the addresses, preferred date, items being moved and the best person to contact.

  2. 2

    Confirm funding and scope

Review the written quote and confirm any plan, provider or invoice requirements before booking.

  3. 3

    Plan both properties

Let us know about stairs, lifts, parking, narrow access and any support needs that affect the move.

  4. 4

    Keep moving day clear

The crew follows the agreed plan, protects the items and keeps the nominated contact informed.

NDIS moving FAQs

Questions to answer before moving day

Funding and provider requirements depend on the participant’s plan. Confirm them before making a booking.

Ask about your move
Can the NDIS fund removalist costs?

Moving costs are not automatically funded. The NDIS may fund removalist support when the need to move is related to a participant’s disability support needs and the request meets the funding criteria. Confirm the support before you book.

Read the NDIS moving-house guidance
Do I need to use a registered NDIS provider?

That depends on how your plan is managed. NDIA-managed supports must use registered providers, while self-managed and plan-managed participants can usually use registered or unregistered providers. Check your plan and confirm provider requirements before booking.

Read the NDIS provider guide
Can you coordinate with a carer, support coordinator or plan manager?

Yes. With the participant’s permission, we can share quote and booking details with a nominated support person and keep the agreed contact updated while the move is being planned.

Can furniture be dismantled and reassembled?

Tell us which furniture or equipment needs attention when you request a quote. We will confirm what our crew can safely dismantle and reassemble and include the agreed work in the moving plan.

Where do you provide NDIS moving support?

Quick Pick Movers services Melbourne and regional Victoria. Share both addresses and any timing or access requirements so the team can confirm the route, crew and vehicle for your move.
